Ardua

Privacy Policy

Effective 5 November 2026

The short version: Ardua collects no data. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no advertising. Everything you put into Ardua stays on your iPhone, and the developer can't see any of it.

What Ardua keeps, and where

To work, Ardua stores the following only on your device:

None of this is sent to the developer or to anyone else. Ardua has no server to send it to.

Screen Time

Ardua uses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls) to shield the apps you choose. When you pick apps, iOS gives Ardua anonymous tokens, not the names of the apps or your browsing. iOS tells Ardua when you reach the minutes you set, so it can lift and raise the shield. This information is used only on your device to run your limits. It never leaves your iPhone.

Notifications, widgets and Live Activities

Reminders are scheduled on your device. The Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show your day using data already on your iPhone. Nothing is sent through a push server.

Photos

Ardua asks to add to your photo library only when you tap Save to Photos on a progress card. It can't read your library. When you pick a photo for a card, iOS hands Ardua only that photo.

Purchases

Ardua Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment. Ardua only learns from the App Store whether Pro is active on your Apple ID. It never sees your name, email or payment details.

Backups and crash reports

If you back up your iPhone with iCloud or a computer, Apple may include Ardua's data in that backup under Apple's privacy policy. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may pass along anonymous crash reports. Ardua adds no tracking of its own.

Tracking and third parties

Ardua does not track you across apps or websites, contains no third-party analytics or advertising code, and does not sell or share data with anyone.

Deleting your data

Deleting Ardua from your iPhone deletes everything it stored. Because nothing is kept anywhere else, there is nothing left to request.

Children

Ardua is meant for people managing their own screen time and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. If Ardua ever starts collecting data, the policy and the App Store privacy label will say so before it happens.
